Are You Interested in Playing College Soccer? Following are the tools and information you need to navigate the college recruiting process. The conditioning and training resource is available to help you prepare yourself physically for competing at the next level.  FC San Diego has partnered with Jeff Wadstrom of Letics, Inc to provide college recruiting resources and Strength, Speed and Conditioning Training! FC San Diego members can register with Letics free of charge (normally a monthly access fee is charged) to develop a personal profile which can be sent to college coaches on their own or through the Letics, Inc system.
College Night - A workshop for all FC San Diego families and players on how to prepare and navigate through the college recruiting process and be successfully recruited to play college soccer will be held Thirsday Nov 4, 2010 at RBHS in the LPR room. The workshop will be lead by the experienced soccer recuiting specialists from Letics Inc. NCAA Recruting Calendar - Knowing the NCAA recruiting timeline is important to the parents and the athletes so that you can plan your comunications and visits and have clear understanding of when and how a coach can and cannot contact you. Click NCAA Recruiting Calendar The College Board - is a resource for students and parents to learn about the college application process, has tools for searching their college database for location, majors, size, demographics, private, public, type of athletic program and esssentially any variable you are considering. In addition, this is where to apply for standardized tests such as the PSAT, SAT, SAT Subject matter tests. Included are on-line practice tests, how to prepare for the tests, financial aid information and specific sections directed specifically for Parents and for the Student. Click The College Board to reach the website. The NCAA Clearinghouse - Eligibility Center - for information and resources for the college bound student athlete and parents. Academic requirements for Division 1, 2, and 3 schools are explained in addition to information to guide a student and family through the process. All student athletes must register with the NCAA Clearinghouse to be officially recruited and must satisfy the amateur eligibility requirements. To Set up a Player Profile - For more information on College Recruiting resources or to build your own professional looking Player Profile you can use to send to college coaches go to the Letics Website To set up a profile on the Letics website sign up for the "yearly plan" and use "FCSan Diego" as the coupon when it asked for payment. This will waive the fee and set you up for a year subscription.
